Bio

When I first started painting my original inclination was to abstract painting. With abstraction I was able to isolate and explore the elements of my own picture making ability. I've learned what my natureal line is, how to paint with a wide range of colors and as always design design design. That includes how to balance every picture and how to create large-scale work (up to 6 by 14 feet). Working in abstract pushes my imagination and my understanding but as I get older I have fallen in love with the forms of realism. As I excavate my family's life story I've also become more interested in the forces that have shaped the lives of others.
