She has taken part in many solo and group exhibitions, as well as juried shows of the Society of Canadian Artists and the Canadian Institute of Portrait Artists across Canada. In 2005 she graduated from NSCAD and received an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award. She obtained a provincial creation grant for “Portraits of Injustice”, which was shown at the Immigration Museum at Pier 21 in 2010. Her portraits are in the IWK and Queen Elizabeth II Health Centres and the Canadian Institute for the Blind. The NS Art Bank has bought four paintings. She is represented by Maples, the Designer Craft Shop and Art Sales and Rentals in Halifax; Swoon in Hammonds Plains and ADJA in Liverpool. Description of artist's workCarol paints in acrylics and oils. Her main inspiration for landscapes painted around Nova Scotia are Tom Thomson’s vigorous and colourful sketches, and for portraits the wonderful brushwork of Singer Sargent. She completed her BFA in 2005, and is an Elizabeth Greenshield Award and provincial Creation Grant recipient.
