Genn, born in Victoria, BC in 1936, is recognized as one of Canada’s most accomplished painters. Well known internationally, his subjects are universal, excelling in portraying his native Canada, and recognized for his genre subjects of Canada’s West Coast in a manner similar to the work of the Group of Seven.
