Description of artist's work

Jean Marc is a Magdalene Islands-born folk artist with Acadian heritage. A life-long fisherman, he only started to carve when the fishing industry slowed down, and is known for his lively and humorous polychrome wood carvings of farm animals, “bag ladies”, twig people and other whimsical characters.
