Jacquie is a self-taught indigenous painter with a passion for painting clouds with visions from her ancestors and guiding spirits. Through a meditative painting process she connects with the universe where time and space meet and shadows are nonexistent. During this creative exploration she gains insight into the lives that walked before us, discovering where she is from and where she may be going in life.
Jacquie Boucher is an indigenous Metis artist (Cree/Irish/French), born in Alberta and arrived in Nova Scotia 20 years ago to achieve her Bachelor of Design at NSCAD University and is currently in graduate studies working towards her masters in counseling psychology in hopes to set up her own creative healing practice. She believes Art and Psychology go hand in hand in healing together as a way of expressing ourselves and in understanding our thoughts and others’ creative perspectives. Her work is at public and private galleries across North America.
