Jack Gray is Canada’s most important marine artist of the 20th century. He was an excellent sailor himself and had first-hand experience of the inshore fishery. He studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and with Arthur Lismer. Examples of his work are found in every major marine art collection in North America.
