My love affair with collecting papers (especially with text) began when I was a child.
I had the wacky notion that if I carefully stored them under my bed that, by osmosis, I would learn to read. My work is all about paper(s): torn, coloured, layered every imaginable kind. Currently I am exploring painting on translucent surfaces.
Over the years I have collected scores of paper, photographs and small artifacts. What inspires me most as subject matter are everyday objects I live with and landscapes of places I’ve visited.
