Educated at Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts (BFA, Ceramics), Mindy continued to study in New York City with James Makins, Betty Woodman and Byron Temple. These potters guided her journey during those early years. Relocating to Halifax, she is continually inspired by the natural world around her. These feasts for the eye have influenced her sculptural pieces. Her spontaneous approach also continues to inform her functional work.
