Mindy Moore, Festival Tour Artist

A juried-status member of Craft Nova Scotia, Mindy continues to work with Raku and high fire stoneware firing techniques. Whether sculptural or functional objects, the pliable, textural qualities of the clay itself as well as form and surface decoration are her main explorations. ARTIST AND GALLERY TOUR PARTICIPANT, SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 28, 10 AM TO 5 PM. 17 FLEMING DRIVE, FLEMING PARK, HALIFAX
Educated at Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts (BFA, Ceramics), Mindy continued to study in New York City with James Makins, Betty Woodman and Byron Temple. These potters guided her journey during those early years. Relocating to Halifax, she is continually inspired by the natural world around her. These feasts for the eye have influenced her sculptural pieces. Her spontaneous approach also continues to inform her functional work.
