Birgit is a Dutch Canadian author and ceramic artist. After a career in advertising and founding a recruitment agency, she moved to Canada. In 2024, she launched her novel Even Without Blood. Since 2005, she has crafted whimsical tableware under Hotcakes Ceramics and she recently started painting acrylics. An outdoor enthusiast, she and her husband, John McQuinn, split their time between Nelson, BC, and Seabright, NS.
