Claire McNamara, Festival Tour Emerging Artist Venue, Alderney Landing

The selection of oil paintings presented for Art OFF the Map are part of a larger series and the thesis work of a recent MFA degree show, as well as new works. FESTIVAL ARTIST & GALLERY TOUR: SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 28, 10AM-5PM AT THE EMERGING ARTIST VENUE, SOLAR WATERFRONT HUTS, ALDERNEY LANDING, DARTMOUTH.
Claire McNamara is a Halifax based oil painter. She graduated with a BFA from Western University in 2020 and an MFA from NSCAD University in 2024. Her practice explores the intersections of movement, grief, and identity; through fluid and choreographed gesture and delicate paint-handling.
