Mahnaz Roshan was born in Iran, and left her home country at the age of 15 because of religious persecution. She earned an art degree in Spain and travelled extensively before coming to Canada in 1986. She is a professional artist who resides in Halifax, where she runs several art workshops in the city focusing on painting, team-building, and bringing artists together from various cultural backgrounds, as well as a wide age range -- from children to seniors.
