Raised in British Columbia, Xander received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Metal and Blacksmithing at Kootenay School of the Arts. He worked for a while as a metal artist in Nelson, BC, before moving to Vancouver to work in front of the camera in the TV and film industry. There, he met his partner, Marie, and started a family. They moved to Nova Scotia in 2018, and during the pandemic, reconnected with the art in form of paintings as well as Cosplay. Xander's love of film and TV is a big influence in a lot of his art and often sets him apart from other scenic artists. Besides painting, Xander also loves to make and partake in Cosplay, creating detailed costumes for himself and others to wear to Cons or to collect.
