Alexander Koltakov, a Canadian artist born in Crimea, moved to Canada in 2012 via Israel and settled in Halifax in 2016. Inspired by his grandfather, he trained under Crimean artist N. Papias and studied at the Toronto School of Art. He specializes in impressionist acrylic and oil paintings, along with plaster reliefs. His award-winning work is featured in Nova Scotia galleries and private collections worldwide.
