The Gallery showcases work by Philip Hodges and Janet Taylor. Both artists work in acrylic, each in distinctly different styles. Philip’s realistic works are influenced by his studies in architecture as well as his love of the rugged and weathered maritime landscape. The exploration of light, shadow and reflection is a favourite theme in his detailed still lifes. Janet’s work explores the experience of place and those extraordinary moments that surface within the mundane. She creates beautiful paintings that traverse the boundaries of realism and abstraction.
