Robert’s art is pervaded by a sense of nature that reflects his philosophical bent and career as an ecologist. NSCAD Continuing-Ed classes taught him the rudiments of painting and drawing. In developing a style of his own, he experiments with impressionistic or abstract representations of imaginary landscapes and creatures. He uses mixed acrylic media and found natural objects to create texture and organic forms that emerge from the canvas.
