A lifelong resident of Nova Scotia; artist R. J. Marchand has been working almost exclusively in acrylics and watercolours for thirty years.
His paintings exhibit an eclectic range of influences including impressionist painters and wildlife artists like Robert Bateman. His paintings, which often combine both abstraction and realism, reflect the natural and cultural life in the Maritimes and beyond.
