Mary Jane Lundy is a Craft Nova Scotia Master Artisan. She graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University, Halifax, Nova Scotia with a BFA major in Ceramics. As a clay sculptor, she creates to narrate her story and pay homage to the places she is from. Mary Jane was raised in St. George, New Brunswick and currently lives in East Dover, Nova Scotia. As a young girl she spent her summers exploring sea life on the Bay of Fundy shores. Her studio, Crescent Clay, overlooks Dutchman’s Cove which is connected to the Atlantic Ocean. Mary Jane creates land and sea inspired ceramic sculptures with the goals of honoring her environment and generating a joyous visual experience for her viewers.
